Susan Boyle, a Scottish singer and international superstar, not only returns to Americaโs Got Talent, but also to the song that launched her career, in her latest performance.
Susan takes the stage after receiving her Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell for her rendition of the Rolling Stonesโ โWild Horsesโ in this sneak peek from Americaโs Got Talent: The Champions. In the videoโs introduction, the 47-year-old singer says, โIโve loved to sing since I was a tiny tot.โ Music has helped her get through some difficult times in her life. But it wasnโt until her mother died that Susna decided to pursue her dream, which her mother had always encouraged her to do.
โEverybody has dreams, you have to follow those dreams. I feel Iโve been given that chance,โ she says. And she certainly has, selling over 20 million records. And it all began with this song โ โI Dreamed a Dreamโ from Les Miserables. Sheโs got a beautiful sequin dress on and an eerie backdrop โ instrumentalists shrouded in fog and silver light with trees in the background.
The judges and audience are on their feet when she finishes her performance.
Mel B tells her that if she had another Golden Buzzer, she would press it for Susan again. And Simon says he has โgoosebumps on his goosebumpsโ and goes on to explain how her performance brings him back, admitting he wasnโt so nice to her on the first day but that sheโs gone on to be the epitome of a champion.
