Kid Rock Goes BaIIistic Over Bud Light’s Transgender lnclusion, Shoots Up Beer Cases

Kid Rock, the musician known for his far-right views and unapologetic support of the MAGA movement, recently took to social media to express his frustration with Bud Light’s partnership with trans influencer and creative, Dylan Mulvaney. Mulvaney has been sharing her journey of transition on TikTok through her popular series, “Days of Girlhood.”

Bud Light had specially designed cans featuring Mulvaney’s face, which they sent to her. Excited about the collaboration, Mulvaney shared the news on her Instagram, prompting backlash from some right-wing individuals who opposed the company’s inclusivity efforts.

In response, Kid Rock posted a video on multiple social media platforms without a caption, but his message was clear. The video begins with Kid Rock, wearing a “MAGA” baseball cap, facing away from the camera. He then turns to address his audience, holding a rifle. Cases of Bud Light are seen on a table beside a lake. Kid Rock rapidly fires shots at the beer cases (resembling a machine gun), turns around, flips off the camera, and declares, “Fck Bud Light. Fck Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day.”

This move by Kid Rock sparked outrage among right-wing circles, while supporters of LGBTQ+ rights and inclusivity, like musician Jason Isbell, criticized the bigoted response.

Bud Light defended its decision to feature a transgender beer consumer in its advertising campaign, stating that they collaborate with influencers from diverse backgrounds and create unique commemorative cans to connect with various demographics. They clarified that the commemorative can featuring Dylan Mulvaney was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and not available for sale to the general public.
