‘Will you send me a bracelet?’ Chattanooga boy who beat cancer now aims to beat world record

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. โ€” An 11-year-old boy in Chattanooga just beat cancer. Now, he’s hoping to beat a world record.

We interviewed Michael Grubbs two months ago when he was fighting Large B Cell Lymphoma at Erlanger Children’s Hospital (watch above).Michael inspired fellow patients, staff and the entire community as he faithfully played his guitar and sang songs of praise while getting chemo treatments.

Now, Michael wants to beat the Guinness World Record for the greatest number of bracelets worn.

Erlanger Children’s Hospital says Sabrina Gutierrez set the previous record on June 22, 2009, when she wore a record of 95 bracelets.

Michael is asking for community support in donating bracelets. Individuals willing to send bracelets can send them to:
